Your role at GEI. 
 
The Madison, Wisconsin office of GEI Consultants, Inc. (GEI) is seeking a Project Manager with a background in civil, environmental, or geotechnical.  This individual will assist with ongoing projects that may include dams, levees, stormwater management, landfills, foundations, and environmental remediation.    
 
Essential Responsibilities & Duties 
  • Conduct planning, permitting, engineering analysis and design studies.
  • Provide technical review and direct project activities of staff-level engineers and scientists. 
  • Manage and direct subcontractors.
  • Evaluate and analyze collected data and prepare technical reports, letters and memoranda.
  • Develop construction drawings, technical specifications, bid documents and project schedules.
  • Perform construction engineering support.
  • Prepare proposals, develop project scope, budgets and schedules, and perform project management.
  • Participate in business development activities and contribute to office growth. 
Minimum Qualifications 
  • B.S. or M.S (preferred) in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental or related field. 
  • Professional Registration (P.E.) in Wisconsin or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • 8+ years of previous professional experience in an AE Consulting environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and experience supervising, supporting and directing staff.
  • Knowledge and experience with project management concepts and software.
  • Excellent technical report writing and communication skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel on temporary work assignments. 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience with standard computer analysis software as relevant to the discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER trained is a plus.
